In part of my intention for this post this is to inform you guys on how you can help victims of the Ondoy Typhoon. Here are some ways you can help:

VOLUNTEER!
CALLING ALL YOUTH VOLUNTEERS! We have set relief centers in the following areas to help typhoon Ondoy Victims. Such relief centers are located in either: 1. Baypark Tent Roxas Blvd. (near Max & Diamond Hotel) 2. Galas Mini Park Unang Hakban St. (…near Welcome Rotonda) Y4C volunteers are already there. You dont have to be Y4C to go there. WE NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET!

Schools, NGOs and other movements
  • TULONG BAYAN, CUBAO - Tulong Bayan, Cubao needs clothes, salt and cooking oil in sachets: 0908-6579998, 0939-3633436, 9137122.
  • Youth@111 is looking for donations and will be accepting it from 1pm-5pm tomorrow at the CCBC. They are also looking for volunteers. Please do come. CCBC is located in West Ave next to Starbucks (Westlife branch)
  • UP DILIMAN DONATION DRIVE - ou may drop off your donations at the USC office, 2nd flr Vinzons Hall starting today Sept 27. Boxes will also be set up in different dormitories …and colleges.   • Move for Chiz is asking for volunteers and donations at Bay Park Tent, along Roxas Blvd., beside Max Restaurant and Diamond Hotel in Manila, or at Gilas Minipark at Unang Hakbang St., Gilas Q.C.

  • Operation Rainbow (Zac Faelnar Camara) at Ayala Alabang Village needs Canned Goods, Ready-To-Eat Food, Bottled Water, Ready-To-Drink Milk/ Juice, Clothing, Blankets, contact (+632-4687991)
  • Philippine Army Gym inside Fort Bonifacio or GHQ Gym in Camp Aguinaldo are now distributing donations for Ondoy Victims.
If I find out the mechanics on how to volunteer for ABS-CBN's Sagip Kapamilya or GMA's Kapuso Foundtation I'll try my best to keep you guys updated. Or if you guys have more to add to that feel free to drop me a line.

Then also I have to apologize for my previous post as some people took offense and I did note that it could be offensive (That's why its categorizes in people & blogs, as I am entitled to my own opinion). Please excuse me and my companion for that behavior but I do sympathize for my fellow Filipinos who are experiencing a difficult time because of Ondoy. I did not intend to make a mockery of the situation you just have to understand that as blogger I have a tendency to use English as my medium and I do not, in any way, wish to degrade my mother tongue or my fellow countrymen. Hindi ko po pinagpipilitan ang pekeng "American accent" at maslalong hindi ko ikinakahiya ang pagiging Pilipino, ganyan lang po kasi ako magsalita ng Ingles pancencya naman po. Hindi ko po intensyon ang magpababa ng moral ng ibang tao. Humihingi po ako ng dispensa kung iyon ay nakakapanglait ng sobra.
